It's a nice sounding tune, though changing the instruments of a midi file is quite easy to do. It's alright for practice to balance the sounds but eventually it's ideal to work towards some degree of artistic integrity. I'm not saying we all haven't been there, but do try to move on to putting more of yourself into the piece. Give yourself more credit. Keep doing what you love.

You and others really helped thank you.

I had a listen to all your tracks and this is my fav.
A simple, endearing quality akin to Yiruma. It's great that you work so well together!

CainRedfield responds:

Thank you so much. Being compared to Yiruma is a huge compliment, because River Flows In You holds so much personal meaning to me. I'm really happy you like it :)

heroic

Having remixed this one myself, I'm pretty critical. Not that mine was much diff from the original, but you've really upped the ante with this! Great interpretation, really brings out the vgm charms and builds up. I like the tamb ^^

CyrusOfNaias responds:

lol I know, for a lot of songs I try to put the tambourine somewhere, unfortunately it's not always a good match >.<, luckily though this made it lol

I'm glad there's more ppl who liked this gaem's BGM lol, it seems a tad underrated

Thx!

Love the dramatic feel of this, and I really dig the epicness of the piano ending! ( heart piano) I feel kinda unworthy to be recognised in this calibur of sonic shorts "credits" music, but it makes me appreciate the effort you and all the others put in to make it such a stellar team effort =)

DreamEater responds:

we all do it for the love of sonic man =]

no worries

thanks for the review

I salute you

To a fellow sonic 3 credits remixer! I love how the piano comes in, really a nice touch. The strings are so clean and smooth. Perfect feel. Yeah I remember liking "stranger in moscow" and thinking it was strangely similar to these credits. What a fun conspiracy theory! The credits are better tho IMO

GameMusicPersonthing responds:

with great respect for other players of the infamous needle mouse, i salute you too

YES!

You really hit this one! Wonderfully faithful but really builds on the original. I like how you tease out the intro for a while. I've done a remake to this but I like yours better! Diddy would be proud

SupraDarky responds:

Thanks ArienV! I'm glad you like this!

Tasteful!

I'm giving this a 10 because its so classy. In a sea of obscure and sometimes horrible remixes of old sonic tunes, it's a refreshing change to see an actual remake that doesn't murder the original. Great blend of synthetic and realish instruments without being pretentious. Oh, the sax sounds pretty swell for a synth. Definately one of my fav's from s2, KUDOS! =)

SupraDarky responds:

Ahhh thanks for the review ArienV!

VGM goodness

Love the bass in this, moreso as it progresses. I'm kinda glad to see other Iridion 3d remixes out there, I did one recently but it's good to see that others appreciate this humble gba game...for the music at least. The choir adds a nice gloomy touch, but I felt the drums could have been worked up a little more. I'm pretty keen to do a rmx of the end credits music and the 'above the clouds' one. Ahh so much potential!

CyrusOfNaias responds:

:D Hey tell me how that goes and thx!

atmospheric

9! You really capture something here, love the progression and the ambient wonder of it. Though when you kicked it up a notch at around the 1 min mark it kinda lost me a bit. In my opinion it would have served better as a loop.
But dig the ending! Would've been hard to end that but you nailed it pretty good. Also the bad quality recording kinda adds to the charm.
Overall, a beautifully simple melody that is really quite emotional, and thats hard to do. KUDOS!

Farmin responds:

Yeah it gets kinda boring after a while.
I'm glad you liked it.
Thanks for listening :D

mmm relaxing, not!

This isn't exactly a song, but for what it is, I think it could be very handy for someone! Kinda eerie and it works well, almost matrixy. I'd ask how you did it but then that would ruin the secret!

Pandoryk responds:

Sure it's not a song! Just a bit melodic but not that much. That's really "the informatic loop" I think ^^
And to answer: That's not a secret, I was recording my heart or my neck with a bad quality mic, I amplify what I had, I added some effects in Audacity. And I finally get this weird loop. Try to do it at home!! :P
Thx for the review!

I'm a concept artist and illustrator by trade, but thrive on expanding my creative tendrils into music creation. It's just a hobby but I love it
